permanent braces
Permanent braces are glued to the teeth for the entire period of an active orthodontic treatment. Depending on the material the orthodontic brackets are made of, braces can be made of metal, porcelain, monocrystal or composite materials. Depending on the structure of a bracket, we can distinguish between traditional braces that require linking an archwire to the bracket by means of ligature (a metal or elastic one, available in different colour versions) and self-ligating braces. Treatment by permanent braces most often takes 12-24 months.
